Why did so many people allow strangers, with a political or medical title, dictate their lives to them over the pandemic? And what is the difference between those people and those who refused?

Matt Enns was a portfolio manager in the Canadian financial sector who made the life altering decision to uproot himself and his family, give up his career and move to another country due to the ever increasing overreach of the Canadian government.

In today’s podcast, Matt speaks to: how pervasive that overreach was, the shock of how ‘willing to go along with it all’ most people in his life were, and where he drew the line for himself.

There are so many similarities between his story and my own. It was interesting to compare notes.

He, unlike me, followed through on an application for an E2 visa that will allow him to permanently relocate to the United States to start a business. I was in the process of doing the same thing before deciding in the last few weeks of my stay to come back for friends and family.

Having come from a long history of family who had to flee their birth countries over the last couple hundred years, Matt was both early and determined to make sure he and his family didn’t wind up stuck behind the borders of a burgeoning dictatorship in the Trudeau government.

Matt has taken the life experience and DIY mentality, that both defines and cements his resolve, and built it into a course to mold people into the best versions of who they’d want to be.
