A Simple Word
The word truth is a simple word. One that we learn early in life. Something is either true or false, it’s just that easy… isn’t it?
One of the persistently frustrating experiences so many people had over the dark years of the pandemic was a malicious and pointed effort to stifle, censor, and prevent the truth from being exposed.
What this caused, for the time it needed to be, was a fabricated reality. One that made anyone who was even remotely skeptical of the official narrative into enemies of the truth. Reality was what science, media, and government told you it was. And if you didn’t believe them, you were the problem!
Your knowledge wasn’t required, just your faith in theirs. Trust the science. Trust their truth and shun all those who don’t!
Subjective Truth
What was being projected through all of the official channels was a prescribed, sanctioned, subjective version of reality. A conditionally true perspective that was painstakingly orchestrated to guide all of society to only one version of reality — their version.
It was through witnessing this, podcasting about it, and my own deep exploration into the very essence of truth itself that I set out towards the writing of my second book.
Over 10 months later and more than 50,000 words written, the first manuscript has been completed.
It’s called:
Layers of Truth: Navigating the Objective from the Subjective
My aim is to have the completed book finalized and available publicly in the first quarter of next year.
It focuses on what truth is. The difference between the total objective truth and the subjective versions of it that we all must build for ourselves.
I focus specifically on the truth in the three pillars that I consider are necessary to hold a well balanced world view upon. Those are the pillars of:
The Scientific
The Philosophic, and
The Theologic
Thank You Everyone for your Patience
As a thank you to all of my amazing and supportive subscribers and listeners over the last 2 years, I’m going to give you all a sneak peek at the introduction to the second chapter of Layers of Truth called — Truth in Science:
“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge”
~ Carl Sagan
The world that I write this in is a technological world. One that is inundated, even over-saturated, by mechanical and electronic marvels that would boggle the minds of our ancient forebears. The generations that have been born into, and inherited the bounty of, 21st century technology are the heirs to thousands of years of human striving in the sciences.
Of all three pillars, the scientific is the one responsible for the majority of all tangible, material progression that humanity has made over the millennia. Miraculous inventions of engineering and real world problem solving has built the throne of prominence that science has been seated upon for at least 200 years. Where we now find ourselves as the wealthy benefactors of the many discoveries, and their implementations, that define our age.
Even though this is the position we hold due to the power of science in action, as this pillar has been hyper-focused upon, its predominance over the other two has caused a bloating within its hallowed halls that have lead towards corruption and rot.
I start with this pillar among the three partly because it is the most universally recognized in our society. Partly because it has the most obvious affects within it. But partly because it has become so trusted in its ubiquity that society has become myopic to its faults, limits, and snakes within.
I, admittedly, may come across as the most critical of this pillar out of the three. In this present age, I see what amounts to a monolith where a triumvirate should reside. And in the monarchical status it holds above society, its dictates and prescriptions create wide reaching and deeply affecting shock waves that carry significant weight behind each. Many of them lead to prosperity. But many others create suffering. Suffering not only in the corporal sense, but in the cognitive and spiritual spheres it overshadows by its eminence.
The spirit of science is one of unencumbered Truth. The scientific process is a framework that’s meant to hone in on what is reliably true about anything that can be tested. But that spirit has been ossified into a totem, an idol. Man, in his hubris, has situated himself as the steward of science. But as the translator of its spirit, has injected all of the shortcomings of a person who’s other two vital pillars have atrophied from neglect.
My aim in this chapter is to unearth the unadulterated spirit of the scientific. Its history, both good and bad. The strength that its light brings to man when followed with deference and attention. And the monstrous horror it can inflict when mismanaged, misrepresented, or idolized.
The Truth of science can be a powerful blade that cuts both ways. And lies, in the name of science, can be a cancer that grows within a society who is ignorant of those within them who feed it.
I’m very much looking forward to finally releasing this long labored delve into one of the most important aspects of humanity, as individuals, and as a whole — Truth.
~ Drew Weatherhead
Thank you, Shari!
I hope the book is accessible for everyone, regardless of background. These were all things I had to learn by myself too. So, it can be done, and is worth it I believe.
Congratulations Drew Im eager to read your book . I still have to get your first book. Some of the things you talked about with Graham on his Podcast went over my head. I’m not a physics person. So it’s hard for me. Though that doesn’t stop me from learning
